Professional Experience
My professional journey has allowed me to work in diverse clinical and therapeutic settings, both in Austria and Italy, supporting individuals of all ages in their healing and personal growth.
In Austria, I worked for many years in domestic violence prevention and intervention, supporting women in shelters, courts, and family counseling centers. In the clinical field, I provided rehabilitation and psychological support for patients with respiratory conditions, helping them quit smoking and develop relaxation techniques.
After moving to Italy, I continued my work in various settings:
International School of Turin (IST) – I worked with children learning English as a second language and supported those with learning and behavioral difficulties (2003 - 2005)
BASF Italia (a German multinational company) – I worked in Human Resources, managing personnel selection at an international level (2005 - 2011)
From 2010 to 2013, I worked in at the elderly care home in Villanova d’Asti as the coordinator of a multidisciplinary team, overseeing the care and well-being of about 40 residents. This role deepened my understanding of age-related challenges, end-of-life care, and the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration in providing integrated support.
Since 2009, I have been working as an independent psychologist and psychotherapist, offering sessions in my private practice in Villanova d’Asti, at the Nemesis Center in Turin, and online. I guide adults, young adults, and adolescents in recognizing their inner resources and reconnecting with the flow of life.
In collaboration with Dr. Fabrizio Didonna and the Center MBCT for OCD, I actively contribute to the implementation of MBCT for OCD interventions. Through this work, I help individuals cultivate a healthier relationship with their thoughts and emotions, using mindfulness-based cognitive therapy to navigate OCD with greater awareness and resilience.
I lead Mindfulness (Mindful Living) group programs, providing a welcoming space for both beginners exploring mindfulness for the first time and those who seek to deepen their practice and integrate mindfulness into their daily lives.
Additionally, I provide psychological and psychotherapeutic support in three languages (English, Italian, and German) to Expats, helping them navigate cultural adaptation, overcome language barriers, and find a sense of belonging in their new environment.
